I am stronger | Sparklekidz
Being stronger has benefits that reach far beyond the gym. Here are three reasons why you and your child should be striving to become stronger.
1. I am able to lift heavier weights.
How I Can Lift Heavier Weights
When I was younger, I could never lift very heavy weights. My friends would always make fun of me because they could lift way more than I could. But I kept working out and now I can lift heavier weights than any of them! Here’s how I did it.
Getting Stronger Every Day
The first thing you need to do if you want to lift heavier weights is to get stronger every day. You can do this by working out regularly and eating a healthy diet. If you eat lots of junk food, you’ll never be able to lift as much as you want to. But if you eat healthy foods and work out regularly, you’ll see yourself getting stronger and stronger every day
I used to go to the gym 3 times a week, but now I go 5 or 6 times a week. And I try to eat a bit healthier than I used to. For example, instead of going out for fast food, I’ll cook myself a healthy meal at home. By doing these things, I’ve been able to slowly but surely increase the amount of weight that I can lift
Taking Breaks
Another important thing to remember if you want to lift heavier weights is to take breaks. When you’re working out, your muscles need time to recover before they can get stronger. That’s why it’s important to take 1-2 days off from lifting weights each week. This gives your muscles time to rest and recover so that when you go back to lifting weights, you’ll be able to lift even more than before!
If you want to be able to lift heavier weights, then you need to get stronger every day and take breaks in between lifting sessions. By following these tips, you’ll be sure to see yourself making progress in no time
2. I am able to do more reps with the same weight.
When You Can Do More Reps with the Same Weight, What Happens?
If you’ve been working out for a while, you’ve probably had the experience of trying to lift a weight and not being able to complete the desired number of reps. But then, a few weeks (or months) later, trying that same weight again and finding that you can easily do more reps than you could before. Why does this happen?
The answer has to do with two main things: muscle fatigue and muscle adaptation. Let’s start with muscle fatigue. Whenever you lift a weight, your muscles go through a process of contracting and then relaxing. The heavier the weight is, the more time your muscles have to spend contracting. Eventually, your muscles get tired and can’t contract anymore, which is why you can’t finish the desired number of reps
Now, let’s talk about muscle adaptation. Whenever you put your muscles under strain (by lifting weights), they actually get stronger so that they can better handle that level of strain in the future. So, when you go back to lift the same weight again, your muscles are better equipped to do more reps because they’re now stronger than they were before
So next time you find yourself able to do more reps with the same weight, know that it’s because your muscles have adapted to become stronger! Keep up the good work and eventually, you’ll be surprised at how much weight you’ll be able to lift!
3. I have more energy overall.
The Many Benefits of Exercising
Blog Introduction: Most people know that exercising is good for their health. But did you know that there are other benefits to exercising besides staying healthy? In this blog post, we’ll explore some of the other benefits of exercising that you may not be aware of. So put on your walking shoes and let’s get started!
3.1 Exercise boosts your mood.
When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which are hormones that have a positive effect on your mood[1]. Endorphins act as painkillers and can also help to improve your sleep quality[2]. So next time you’re feeling down, try going for a walk or a run—you may just find that it helps to improve your mood!
3.2 Exercise can help to improve your memory and cognitive function.
Research has shown that regular exercise can help to improve memory and cognitive function in both children and adults[3]. One study even found that older adults who exercised three times per week for six months showed improvements in memory and cognitive function compared to those who did not exercise[4]. So if you’re looking for ways to boost your brainpower, make sure to add some exercise into your daily routine!
3.3 Exercise can help reduce stress and anxiety
Exercise has been shown to be an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety[5]. One study found that just 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise three times per week was enough to significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety[6]. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, try going for a skate, a swim, or a walk—you may find it helps to clear your head and reduce stress levels.
As you can see, there are many benefits to exercising beyond staying healthy. So next time you’re feeling down or stressed out, don’t forget that heading out for a walk or a run can do more than just improve your physical health—it can also give your mood, memory, and stress levels a boost!
